“Kids Clutter Control”

If you think you own a lot of stuff, what more your children? Not only do you shower them with gifts and toys, but they have grad parents, teachers and playmates who do the same. And then there are all those things they pick up during their daily adventures.

1. Give dress up clothes a special space – make believe items like costumes, wands and swords can be especially tricky to store, so we used our own brand of magic to turn an ordinary arnoire into a playroom savior.

>We painted an armoire with cheery, kid-friendly colors and spruced it up with lollipop decals.

>Large baskets on the shelves store bulky masks, hats, baseball caps, and crowns.

>Inside the doors, peg racks and grippers keep swords and magic wands within easy reach.

>You can also mount locker mirrors on one of the inside doors to give your little one and her friends a place to primp and pose.

2. Make small toys visible – what kids can’t see, they don’t play with. Shallow, clear and accessible containers are key.

>A cart with 3 inch deep drawers hold action figures and craft supplies and keeps toys that come as sets in sets.

>Put markers, chalk, colored pencils and crayons in mini buckets; use bigger buckets for things kids dump out on the floor.

>Candy jars are great for stashing small balls, plastic animals, matchbox cars or marbles.

>With barbie extensive wardrobe in mind, you might want to repurpose travel toiletry cases as portable “closets” for doll clothes and shoes. Hang them from a hook when playtime id done.

3. Stash big toys out of sight – cuddly teddy bears, elephants and bunnies sure do take up a lot of space. Try these quick solutions for that and other big toy delimmas.

>Large bin storage gives bulky toys like animals, trains and trucks somewhere to live, so they’re off playroom floor.

>A sturdy, laudry style bag is an easy place to toss balls.

>Find a multi-function table where large toys can be hidden inside while they doodle on top.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

Thanks for writing about this. There’s a mass of solid tech information on the internet. You’ve got a lot of that info here on your site. I’m impressed – I try to keep a couple blogs pretty ongoing, but it’s a struggle sometimes. You’ve done a big job with this one. How do you do it?

Some companies are specialised in this area and offer bespoke bears. Also available are choices of wardrobe where you can choose from the many outfits what you want your teddy to wear, some of the popular items of clothing are jumpers and tee shirts.

Thank you for a very clear and helpful post. I am definitely a violator of many of these rules. I often find myself conflicted when writing a blog post because I see myself writing more than people want to read, but I feel that I have to do the subject matter justice by thoroughly covering it. I feel that by following some of these rules I end up cutting out important aspects to the discussion. I guess you have to find a balance.

This is one of the pernicious effects of affirmative action. In our PC/affirmative action way of life, we nurse to see the achievements and promotions of minorities as a consequence of affirmative affray policies in lieu of of solitary diligence and talent. This undermines these very achievements.
Another problem here is that it sets fallible honesty at odds with the higher transcendent morality. If the higher fairness is customary to jurist the Extermination, ruinous cancer outbreaks, etc, as good, while human fair play will adjudicator them miasmic, then the ‘fair’ in each of these moralities are different. Satisfactory on the higher morality is not what we employing about good.

I am new to raising a kid. My sister went to a better place a couple of months ago and because my nephew has never meet his dad, he wanted to move in with me. It was not hard to say, yes. He is blood and I love the kid. I am in search of every piece of information I can find on the net about parenting because I want to be the best uncle a kid can have so, thank you for the blog post and now I must move on to the next one.

Finally the first person to comment. You make some great points here. I was reading John Reese’s blog yesterday about building friendships and I see that you make a point in this post about building friendships and relationships. They are definitely important.
